Python asyncio

Asyncio is Python’s library and programming model for writing concurrent code with async and await. It lets a program handle many I/O-bound tasks, such as network connections or file operations, without waiting for each one to finish before starting another. This can make servers, clients, and other responsive applications more efficient while keeping asynchronous control flow explicit in the code.

Open source tools in this area include event-loop utilities, network clients and servers, web frameworks, and testing or mocking libraries for asynchronous behavior. When choosing a tool, check its Python version requirements, compatibility with your event loop and other dependencies, license, documentation, and maintenance activity. Asyncio is useful to Python developers building I/O-heavy services, testing networked applications, or integrating asynchronous components into existing systems.
